First let me say I don't think the US Mint recently struck more 1999 Deleware Quarters. With that in mind, where is America'sStore.com getting the new red, white and blue papered rolls of 1999 Deleware Quarters, complete with the US Mint State Quarter Logo. I thought I saw them for sale two weeks ago, but I was not sure. I saw them for sale on TV last night. AmericasStore.com also advertised that these quaters are licensed and authorized for sale in the new rolls by the US Mint. They cost $99.95 for a P&D roll set. They even mentioned that the US Mint did not have the orange, black and white rolls until about 30 states into production. New Jersey was the first. Have these folks been hoarding rolls, and just now petitioned the US Mint to have them for sale in the red, white and blue rolls? They said it only took them about a month to get approval from the mint to use the official logo on the new rolls. I wonder if the price reflects the US Mint's cut to let them use the official logo? I hope someone can explain this for me. What's another zillion quarter rolls on the secondary market. Thanks, Jim
Deleware Quarter Item Number Sorry I left this out on my post, but the AmericasStore.com item number on the newly rolled Deleware Quarter rolls is 594-860. Thanks -Jim
3 things... Either the mint found more in a back room (that wouldn't be the first time that happened) or these people hoarder them... or I think this is what it is... They have rolls of DE and they find or make paper rolls with the US mint logo on it and put the coins in them and sell them. Speedy
Assuming they do have permission from the mint to use the logo - the coins could have easily been obtained from banks or other coin suppliers. These coins would definitely be from the authorized mintage. Sounds like just another TV shopping network selling stuff to those who don't know any better than to buy it.
These folks are tied to HSN and are offering a roll of BU Silver Eagles for over 300.00..... :loud: :loud: BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
These could not be mint wraped rolls. The mint did not offer rolls the first year of the program. They offered them after a LIGHT came one and thought they could make more money.
The mint does not roll it's own coins. Coins are rolled by a 3rd party contractor with the rights to use the federal reserve logo on their products. The coins from HSN have probably been recently wrapped by the 3rd party companies that had a stash.
I hate those companies you see selling coins on TV. The are just trying to RIPOFF those who just don't know. Many times they are selling stuf for 3 or 4 times the value. Just gets me mad.
