Someone paid with this at work yesterday and im trying to figure out what it is, Im assumeing its a buffalo nickel, but there is now date or mint mark and most of the wording is worn off. sory for the awful pics but im still trying to figure out how to take a good picture of a coin.
Not gonna be able to tell you anything without a better picture, sorry dude. I can guess, from the coloration and the fact you're doubting it's a buffalo, that it may be one of these; http://www.coinfacts.com/commemoratives/dollar_commems/2001d_american_buffalo_dollar.htm Either that or a regular old Buffy.
no i think its just a regular buffalo nickel it says five cents on the reverse,Im new to the hobby so just an odd find for me. Sory for the awful pictures i will work on it.
It either has weird coloration or your pics are off. I don't think it's the pics as much as it is the camera... doesn't seem like it's more than maybe one or two megapixels.
Then it was quite a nice find. Unfortunately, Buffalo nickels have that problem a lot. the date was one of the high point of the coin and therefore, there are many, many of them with the date worn off. It is still a nice find and I'd definitely keep it. Congrats, and welcome to the hobby
no its got 14 mega pixels its a lighting issue and im messing with the setings trying tofigure it out
That's definitely a lighting problem, haha. Try taking a pic in natural sunlight, don't zoom in too much, and set it on easy mode, or whatever your cameras equivalent to that is.
