The 10 Kreuzer is decent, I don't know about the other - you could find all those sorts of coins in joblots or dealers' junk-trays.

Personally I rather like the idea of collections of coins from all over the world some of which will be common and not rare at all. Others are understandably more interested in rarity or beautifully preserved examples, but it fascinates me to think of coins as objects which circulate commonly as currency, and are often connected to other systems of currency and other types of coins. Of course you need to have a lot of space for something like this....

hello, i have here a nice old coin. i am not sure what it is exactly, looks german? its not a clean coin. but still nice.

Friedrich August II (as a Saxonian Kurfurst) or August III (as a Polish king).
He was an only legal son of the August II the Strong (Polish King and Saxonian Kurfurst). Friedrich August II was born in Dresden in 1696 and become a Saxonian kurfurst in 1733 & a Polish king in 1734.
He was very fat and not very clever.
He died in 1763.
Your coin is a 1/12 of thaler 1763, silver.

Polish coin is a 3 Polker of Sigismund III, KM#41. Date looks to be (16)22

 

here is another wonderful coin, i bought it for 5 dollars. i think this one is XF. so it is worth about 40 dollars? what do you think.

its a zanzibar 1299 pysa. 1881 KM#1

 

i have here some nice 2 coins.
1st big one is from Ottoman Empire Sultan III Selim 1203 1st year reign. Its a yuzluk coin, 100 para.

second coin is from Austria, 1 florin 1863A.

MUKREMIN, please take a close look at the 1935 nickel. If it's a philadelphia mint check it for a doubled die on the reverse side. I don't know much else about it.

You have a very nice collection Mukremin! It's smaller than mine but of higher quality (and a higher percentage of large old silver!) DCH is correct on the Polish coin, it is indeed 1622. I have a 1623 in my collection, I got it several months ago for $9.50 US It's weird they only put the last two digits in the date on the coin, but on the other hand, we later collectors should be happy that they dated them at all, as it's fairly early in the era of dated coins! The 1600s seems to me to be when that really became the rule, rather than the exception.

I want to add an Ottoman Empire coin to my collection some day, there is a lot of history surrounding that empire and history is why I collect in the first place!

And above 150 european coins from Austria, Belgium, France, Italy, USA, UK, India, almost all arab countries, asian coins and ofcourse Islamic empire coins like Abbasids, ayyubid, umayyad, mamluk, safavid and mughal coins. And of course some roman, parthian, byzantine coins

Very nice collection! You have given me a new idea for a chart as well, by region! I have stats about almost anything else but I don't have any stats for that, yet I would guess about 65% of my collection is from North America, being in the USA gives me very easy access to them, and I have a friend from Canada who has given me over 100 different Canadian coins I have hardly any Arabic coins...only 6...they have just not been in the bulk lots that most of my collection has come from!

I do have a little bit of Dutch but not too much, I am a whole lot of things and we don't even know for sure what all of it is, lost to history!

 

well this shows the variety that exists between collectors, i plan on expanding my USA collection. I really like the design on those coins. I always buy lot of world coins, but i have never found any US coins. Guess i need to buy them seperate online. I also like Canadian coins, i only have a handful canadians. Any hints on buying US and Canadian coins?
