Science project?

    Hi,

    Found this in some change. I'm pretty sure its a science project, but because of the lack of bubbles, I have to ask first before discarding.

    Also, the coin appears to have been spooned, and there are a few traced of a goldish/copper on the edges.

    Hi,

    It's just banged around a bit. It may have spent some time on a parking lot:)

    It's all post mint damage of some sort.

    Yeah, I figured it would be post mint... Out of curiosity though, is this how a coin looks after the ol school project I keep reading about?

    I weighed it and it weighs the same as a regular 2004 cent.
