Buy the coin not the story!

    I was checking out this auctionhttp://cgi.ebay.com/RAINBOW-TONED-S...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item27b12bb407

    and i know i have heard of these "velvet" and "felt" boxes having this effect.
    BIN price is sky high but that is to be expected. Seller has a good rep. However that holder looks to be franklin mint who sells spurious sets . I think the 79 and 80 have some eye appeal while the 81 is only so so. What do you think?

    nice toning, but I don't know that I'd drop that kind of change on those.

    You could pick up those pieces individually holdered (TPG'er, say ms-64) for half that price. I don't know if you'd get all the pretty colors though.....:smile

    not to mention almost all of the coins that go in those boxes are sliders anyways. ;)

    Those coins are hideous. I need to post a real toned Morgan just so nobody is left with the after taste of those rotten things.
