I just got back from Thanksgiving dinner at my sisters house.She has two daughters 9 and 5 years old.The oldest one has been getting a proof and mint set every year since she was born as well as all the quarters.As soon as I arrived,she pulled out her foreign coin collection that she has accumulated on her own,Italy,France,Singapore etc..Then her little sister came out with a Sleeping Beauty piggy bank and demanded that I go over her coins with her. My daughter, when about the same age, was so thrifty (sic, cheap) I installed a wall-safe in her closet to protect her vast fortune. She made money taking care of pets in the neighborhood. My wife and I occassionally had to borrow money from her to get through the week. I set up a Schwab account for her in college. She went off to graduate school on a scholarship and came back home with more money than when she left. :secret:
