Thought I'd put a list together like I did with the "Sleeper" post I had but for what needs to be in a good Numismatic Library.

    Suggestions?

    I'll start with of course:

A guide book to United States Coins by R. S. Yeoman

Because I don't collect them. I was merely listing options for others to consider, and I assumed that others would come along and fill in the gaps.

I might also have listed these.

    Medals:

Biographical Dictionary of Medallists by L. Forrer, 8-volume set

Jetons, Medalets & Tokens: The Low Countries and France by Michael Mitchiner, Hawkins Publications

How broad of a library are we talking about here? Just American stuff, or would you include anything about coins? If the latter, I would add

Coinage in the Roman Economy, 300 B.C. to A.D. 700
    by Kenneth W. Harl

I would also include past, present and future auction catalogs since they offer good descriptions, opening bids and past prices realized for coins. I just got one from the Wolfson Stacks Auction in May of 1963 that was eyewatering to look at the prices!

Duke, your compilation is in need of two corrections:

    1) Biogrqaphical Dictionary of Medallists by L. Forrer

    2) A Guide Book to United States Coins by R. S. Yeoman (omitted altogether)
