Age really means nothing in terms of price. Price of a piece is made of 1) scarcity 2) condition Try to search these coins¬es on eBay in completed listings.
Try this site: http://www.numismaticindia.com/frame_main.asp eBay is not a reliable source for values on anything numismatically speaking because the prices are fixed by the sellers there, and unfortunately too many people think they have high valued stuff, which is not as valueable as they think it is.
The rupee is considered common now but I believe this is mostly because collectors aren't looking for them. They are nearly scarce in the US even though no one wants them and I have good reason to believe they aren't much easier to find in India and they aren't wanted there either. Circulated coins of this type will never be extremely valuable but there aren't enough uncs to supply a mass market so there will be demand for these eventually.
