rarest no "s" proof sets

    anyone know which year's proof sets with the "no S" designation is the rarest?

    1968 - no "S" on dime, unknown number of sets release, included in the 3,041,506 sets released that year

    1970 - no "S" on dime, estimated 2200 were released

    1971 - -no "S" on nickel, estimated 1655 sets were released

    1975 - no "S" on dime, unknown number of sets released, included in 2,845,450 proof sets released

    1983 - no "S" on dime

    1990 - no "S" on dime

    1990 - no "S" on penny - Prestige Set

    Proof sets prior to 1968, not including the SMS of 65-67.

    1975, without question. Existence confirmed by Coin World, maybe 2 known, present whereabouts unknown. 1968 would be next.

    I've never heard of a 1990 proof no S dime. The 1990 no S cent is known in both the regular and the prestige set.

    so 1970 or 1971? i see that 1971 has left but 1970 seems to be the favorite?

    Check Redbook, that's where I found the info I posted.

    I did mention 1990-S and 1990-S Prestige Set. Numismedia lists FMV for both at $6380.

    The others are around $1500.

    Available on the market are the following proof sets with approximation values, subject to change.

    71 no S 5¢ $1,780
    83 no S 10¢ $1.030
    90 no S .01¢ $6,380
    90 no S .01¢ Prestige $6,380

    The 1975 no S 10¢ is not available at this time, 2 known, held in private collections, valued at 50k
