physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Just bought this beauty from a friend of mine, and it arrived this morning. It is an ex-Lablover as well. In hand, this is exactly how this stunner looks.

Very pretty! Love those mint set toners from the mid-50's. :)

Can someone inform the uninformed as to what "newp" means?

    I'd guess new purchase?

    What?

    ex-Lablover

Nice Frank. But what is an ex-Lablover

(I do miss the "stuff" I could get in my lab)

Lablover is a well known collector, I believe he spends most of his time on PCGS boards, but I have seen him on NGC. He is best known for his Roosevelts - he has the #1 Roosevelt set on NGC. He is known for having a rather good eye when it comes to toners. You can see his set here: http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/SetGallery.aspx?PeopleSetID=24305

And Duke, this doesn't fit into my registry set in any way. But I'm not limited by the Registry, I just use it as a guide. When you see a coin like this, you have to buy it. I'll be posting another one like this in the next few days, from the same seller.

    My Bad

    WoW. I
guess I got a noun mixed up with a verb.

    My Bad.

I'm sure I don't read enough else wheres.

But I do miss my lab.

Guess that is why I like "Fringe".

Thanks y'all. This one was very difficult to photograph. In reality, each picture above is a composite. I took about 35-40 pictures of each side, and then cut out the best parts from the top 4 or 5 and stitched them together in photoshop to make these. I was only going to do 1 obverse, but about half my obverse shots had a feel like the top composite pic, and the other half had a feel like the second composite pic, so I used both.

For those of you who like toners, 58D is the highlight of toned Franklins. I have been offered and seen many 58D's for sale, but I only buy the ones that get me really excited. I have many duplicates, but together they form a very colorful set. Like these:

Nice Franklin! What do you mean when you say 58 is a highlight of toned Franklins? I have a bunch of 58's and none look that good.

Most of them won't look this good - but there are a lot more nicely toned 58's than most other dates. High grade coins are also very affordable, which makes it even better.

I swear I've seen that coin before! Have no idea where though, I could've sworn I've seen the coin in an auction recently? But I don't really remember.
Anyway, that is sure a beautiful coin!

I like the second one the best...just understated class (NGC 65 FBL).

Lucky for you that I was in the hospital when this was posted. Otherwise, we might have had to fight for it.:pencil:
