    Hi,
I have little problem today. I can't find in internet what is the value of this note. It's really hard to pinpoint the value of it. So I ask You. I know that is more valuable then normal 5 dollars from 1914, but as I said I can't pinpoint price.

Please, tell me how much is it worth.

    Thank

Large Size 1914 NY notes are becoming harder & harder to find, but when you factor in a star ,you got a nice note there ! nice pick up !

I have bought this for $100. Is it decent price for this bill?

You paid $100? Excellent price. Hold on to it.

    The PMG population report:

    Description Federal Reserve Notes
    Catalog #
    851a*
    Denomination
    $5
    Series
    1914
    Seal Type Blue
    Location US
    Signatures White, Mellon
    Total Graded
    18

The PMG Pop Report shows that there are only 2 notes graded 10.

The last trade of a note graded 8 was for $157.50 on 10/26/2008 on eBay.

    Also, there are 3 notes at grade 12, 3 at 15*, 2 at 20, 2 at 25, 1 at 35, 1 at 58, 1 at 63, 2 at 64 EPQ, 1 at 65 EPQ

    * As you know, one is in the HA.com archives for $460 sold on 4/21/2008

So I'll tell you correctly. I'm from Poland and generally USD is very high now (1 dollar = 3,2 zloty). So I have paid $65 for this bill in this grade today. but if dollar have normal rate (1 dollar = 2 zloty) I would paid $100. So it's big difference, but in present dollar rate I would paid $65.:mouth:

And btw tell me krispy where did you get this information?

The information is from the Population Report on the PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) web site.

You can set up a free account and access the Population Reports for any notes the company has graded.
