Good afternoon everyone, About a month ago I bought a new Canon 500D camera. I have been using my old canon family camera with macro settings but wanted to upgrade and get a good one with a macro lens. Today I got the lens and I have been doing some playing around with lights and settings. I do not have a setup yet i´m in the process of reading and finding good advice. The lens is a 50MM compact macro lense and I must say the detail I can get out of this camera and lens " Handheld " is amazing. Now I just have to find the perfect setup and i´m in buisness. Siggi
Siggi, That is a nice photo from a handheld position, but you might want to think about getting a camera stand for super macro close-ups to reduce the possibility of camera movment. Chris
Thank you Chris, That´s the setup i´m talking about. Often missing the words as english is a second languege. I´m thinking about a stand, The lighting is such a big deal with coins. I have the remote so I can basicly connect the camera to my laptop and start shooting. Siggi
That dude sitting on the throne has freakishly long thighs. On a more serious note, very nice photo, and I'm happy to hear you are pleased too!
Hey Siggi, This looks like a decent copy stand that may meet your needs... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120567187613 -LTB
Hmm I have seen nicer. Just kidding, those photos are amazing, nice coin by the way. How about sending that camera over here so I can take some pictures of my collection
