True, but I don't think Elaine is pulling any shenanigans. She's just providing a service that many on this forum have come to rely on.....

You still have to question this so called 'service' when it dispenses buying advice to others by measuring her often massively incorrect and premature highly speculative predictions, exclaimations of her own personal purchases, mixing of numismatic valuations for bullion coins and vice versa and to catch her often typo ridden statistics laden with ambiguous language providing no clear reasoning for her comments, even when directly asked repeatedly to explains something. Each bit of data she posts NEEDS to be checked and double checked for accuracy as members OFTEN cite her inaccuracies and failings to understand the simplest of things, like what is a TPG, how to use eBay, why doesn't she know how to set up Private Messages or accept friend requests, have or use a camera or disprove the naysayers... There is a mounting case of evidence to the contrary of your belief Ken. The forum is ho hum for a great part of the time, but seriously, there are some quirks. All it would take is the slightest photographic evidence to disprove these thoughts that she's a hack with a copy of the CDN and a few blog subscriptions that anyone else gets.

Is it buying "advice"? ...or just buying "opinions"? Btw, her "typos" are no match for your run-on sentences. :D

...been busy lately (new job)...but I managed to start another First Spouse thread today...the "Tyler Sisters".

I wanted to document how the Mint handles the ending to the Letitia/Julia Tyler double coin set and how their sales go as gold heads into the stratosphere...should be interesting.

Congrats on the new job. That's the one you were off for a while studying for right?

I did read you new thread today and will be following along as you update this.

Did you see earlier in this thread that Elaine, 'bought':

Wow! That's mighty impressive. I wish I had her $$. I've had to hold off on my purchases lately as I recharge my batteries. Although, I did pick up a rather nice 1804 half cent the other day...C11 (plain "4" w/ stems). I have a few of these already, but I'm a sucker for a half cent.

"Half" of anything is fine when there are Ladies involved...

    Half cent Liberty
    Half ounce gold First Spouses
Half my house, Half my pension ...etc, etc, etc.

...and "yes" on the studying/job. It's going quite well (thanks for asking).

That some very funny stuff there on the 'half' perspective... :high5:

Half ounces tend to be a good buy it seems if you play the mintage game.

I'm partial to (preferably silver) half dollars. A nice size and many consistently great designs over the history of the coin.
