Oh I wanted to and am glad I did Did you see the other auctions of his too... lol Please let me know if that thing sells as I'll start the "can't beat them, join them" crowd
THe "pennache" is back! http://www.cointalk.com/t95735/ Check out the other threads started by Themansionshop as well! Richard
I got a good mind to be as insulting as possible and send him a best offer of 1 cent, with a nice follow-up note. Shipping is free but I'll go pick it up ..he's in the GTA. I just love the line that he does not want the risk of it geting lossed in the mail so he wont send it in for grading. YEA RIGHT!!!!! It is my right for not sending this coin to a respected Numismatic Grading Co. for risk of loss in mail or mishap,
Well, I am pretty sure that I won't be springing for the 2.3 millions bucks on this one, but any of you Canadian error collectors out there wanna fill me in on what the ACTUAL value of this coin is? I mean, besides the obvious 1 cent... I mean, it does appear to be a clash of some sort, right? What 2 or 3 bucks max value? Or is there some rarity to this type of error in Canadian cents?
I believe it was identified in another thread as a "flipped over double strike" and could possilby bring $100 if the right person wanted it, a far cry from 1.3 mil.
What intrigues me is the 'revealed' small maple leaf, which is printed on all coins, but is uncovered on this coin only?
