It would be interesting to see Canada get rid of the penny. If somehow successful I wonder if we would follow suit.
This is not the first attempt by Canada to eliminate the minting of cents. Apparently there is no rush by the federal government to 'round-up' to the five-cent coin. Since I am a longtime collector of all Canadian coins from circulation, I hope that our fellow neighbors to the north retain their cent.
