The one on the left is Syrian ten pounds, I like it because of the lettering in the gate. The middle one is southeast asian I am assuming because of the lettering perhaps cambodian? Finally, on the right is a French Polynesian 5 Francs I think? I like it because it weighs 3.8 grams, made of tin, I don't know?

It is a 5 baht from Thailand, dated BE 2522 (1979 AD). I like the Syrian coin, ruins of Palmyra must be. In Krause, however, it doesn't have the CBS in the gate. That may be a later addition.

well my favourite world coins are of course Ottoman coins from my own collection. Since there isnt much known here about Ottoman/Islamic coins, i decided to post 2 of my coins here.

    take a look and enjoy.

I like this coin. Segovia mint. It looked to have been coutermarked with an 8. Was this done to verify that it was not debased?

My dealer said that cipher "8" was made in the XVIIth century in Sweden. He said that this coin circulated in Sweden too. I don"t know nothing about it.

I can not say that this is my favorite coin but it is definitely in the top ten:

I bought this coin because the image looked like a space alien from the movies.
    And not a nice one!

Beautiful! I didn't even know Greenland even had a currency. I thought it was just a bunch of science outposts. Out of curiosity how much did that specimen cost you, if you don't mind my asking?

Gawd!! What a great question as I have more than one and to pick just one is really difficult, not just for me either. Well I've always liked this Phillipines Douglas MacArthur half dollar. I don't think I have a pic of Douglas alone so he is sitting here with two Phillipine dimes. I actually have another favorite but I'll wait till another time as I gotta take a nicer pic of it. ;)
