    Shucks, amd I thought we were wondering who touched the penny and left the fingerprint ridges on the obverse. It looks like the same mark someone left on some 1943s. A single touch and the basnding is there forever. LOL

    Man, I just rushed in and put my 1964 proof dimes under a 30x glass and wouldn't you know it. They are all Perfect ! Darn !

    very cool.I picked that out of a dansco a couple months ago from a dealer.he doesnt sell any of the pennies,and im like the only person that goes through his albums,so Im waiting on all the rest to tone in,so I can get those too.its an old set,so Im waiting for the right moment before they go ugly.:thumb:

    I already bought as many as were toned in nicely.And no,its not my fingerprint.not sure who's it is.maybe the dealers?,let me know if you want to fund for the rest of them.sweet deal for them.I have to come up with some cash so I can go see Tool:bow:

    As I said, I thought that was the "Mystery". Who was the one that mis-handled the penny. I have a set of 1943 steelies that all were touched one time, maybe it is the same person ?
