These are the original box non-slabbed unc Boy Scout commems that have sold on Ebay since sell out. Looks like we are at about $40 or a little over. http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOY-SCOUTS...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item335ca65b4d $43 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOY-SCOUTS...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a5a3aa364 $40 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-Boy-Scouts...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item255a5e5f41 $43 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOY-SCOUTS...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item35a90ce206 $40
emphasis on 'a little'... did you buy enough of them to at least recoup listing fees and the expensive of even one coin?
Krispy has been right all along, the only ones making anything over the original costs for non slabbed bsa's are the top rated sellers, if i can get my 34.95 (per coin) back when i sale my 4 proofs after all the fees from ebay, i will be happy. Good luck to the rest of you guys who have these coins.
My nephew got one of these from his troop leader for guessing how much the troop would raise at the dinner…… So that leads me to believe that most troops are aware of the coins. hopefully you guys see a spike soon.
Danr these commems ar going to get handed out at every pack meeting across the the country and then be forgotten. This commem had heart string appeal but will never attain much value. You'll just have to go for a different badge I guess....:mouth:
I am guessing that they will top out at $70 and only go above that if silver rises. I'm no expert on commemoratives but I see APMEX selling random stuff for a small percentage over bullion value. The coins aren't even a full ounce of silver.
$70 maybe for a dealer selling a TPG 70 grade... otherwise little chance of most seeing those figures.
Agreed. My Proof and unc are sitting in the back of the safe. Maybe we'll check back in five years and see if it's changed from list price.
UPDATE: Slight upward movement on original unc (box/coa) BSA coins http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOY-SCOUTS...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a5a562072 $44 http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-BOY-SCOUTS...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item3a5a7bbb96 $49 slabbed ms 70's are high slabbed ms 69's are a bit lower than non-slabbed (probably because they have removed the value of potentially having an ms70) http://cgi.ebay.com/2010-P-BOY-SCOU...em&pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item414f3ece56 Proofs are in the $34 range
Ok, that's enough already. Give it a rest now guys. Some of us are involved and/or work in politics and collect coins to get a break from it.
