Need your opinion on the +/- grade, price of this coin.... It is real deal!... We showed it to a coin dealer... but do not want to be taken... :)

    Thank you.

First thing I'd do is submit it to a grading service at have it graded and authenticated.

    Prices I saw are $900 in G4 and $1,250 in F12

I doubt that this DB $1 is genuine. See edge lettering and raised rim.

If it is real it looks like a harshly cleaned VG+ to F grade.

Variety: BB-142, B-1, R-2. Below are some diagnostics.
    1799 Draped Bust/Heraldic Eagle Dollars
Obverse Stars Arranged 7 left & 6 right
    1799/8 Overdate/13 Stars Reverse
Leaf tip under center of I/Berry below right foot of A
Die flaws generally seen surrounding the I

I would expect a dealer to offer $600-$900 depending on what market they serve. If you get it certified/holdered as genuine you could expect closer to $800-900 and perhaps it could fetch $1000-$1200 on ebay if holdered as genuine.
