Any idea how common or uncommon this die error is? Is there any demand for it that anyone has heard of? Just curious. Thanks people. Here is a link to picture http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=250441015148
Respond please Hey I see that there are 33 or so views but only 1 response. Please numismatic people leave some sort of opinion whether positive or negative. Thanks.
Looks more like flatulence than actual defecation. Like the "peeing" Minuteman it is a minor problem with the die. Why anyone would pay more than face value for either is beyond me. Happy?
i guess i could see people paying more then face for it. its funny and some what of an error. something that is good for conversation and different. i wouldn't go looking for one. but if i ended up getting one in change or for face, i would keep it.
If you name a die chip or a die crack something cool, then you get a premium for it on Ebay. "Pooping horse error" is quite the catchy name.....in fact, I chuckled a little as I typed it. Nice creativity by the seller.
Die chips in interesting areas always seem to bring out people who just have to have one. No different really from the "BIE" errors, or the "Bootstrap" die crack on the 2009 Formative Years.
Horse is pooping Yeah I thought it was kind of cool so I got one. I really don't understand how error trends catch on in the numismatic world. I personally think a pooping horse is more interesting than a high or low leaf Wisconsin but those coins are valued by collectors much more. I suppose I don't really know the rarity of either coin, but obviously demand is lower for the good ol' pooping horse, lol. . . Oh well still fun to look at.
