I found this one in some eBay rolls and though it had some unusual toning but what really intriqued me was how heavy it felt in my hand so I weighed it and it's 3.3 grams.

The tone is weird and has some weird markings on the reverse, anyone ever come across one?

Does it seem a little thicker than normal?

Yea, it is thicker then other 1957's and here's the kicker, my metal detector says it is a dime. I even double checked the detector using other 1957's like it.

I searched Heritage's Archives and other sites and can't find any thing to compare it to as far as minted on a foreign coin or wrong planchet.

There is something a little different. Look at Abes profile, notice how strong and full everything is. Only if all cents looked like that...

    Exactly, it's a beautiful coin.

The Rim around the obverse side seems extra high and has sharpe edges , could be the extra grams.

Sounds like finned rims. If the planchet was a little thicker and heavier, the tons of pressure would force the extra metal upward causing finning of the rims...
