Had several private messages wondering what the status of this project was so here's the update. Finally got the images edited and into my template. I've also updated my PCGS Showcase set with the new images (link in signature line). I had to stop working on the project using my laptop (several years old) because the photoshop filesize became too large and I didn't have enough memory to work the file. I ended up transferring all of the files to a computer at work which was much newer and had probably 10x the memory. Never had an issue after that. The photoshop filesize is up to about 215MB now and when converted to a JPG the file is over 7MB. I've scaled down the file significantly to share it here:

Again, larger photos of each coin are available in the Registry link in my signature line.

This seemingly will be a worthwhile endeavor.

Thanks guys, hopefully I can get enough copies printed up at a reasonable enough price to where I can get a copy to those who would like one. :)

Still haven't decided if I'm going to add any additional text up at the top, I was thinking about it, but I sort of like it looking clean too. Was also thinking about doing a blue background instead of black. We'll see!!

    Thanks again for the feedback.

The blue might be better for contrast of the lower grade pictures. Try it and put a pict up here :D
As as for type I'd think you should at least at the bottom put something about being your coins or your pictures or you being the creator.

Regarding the color of the background: Consider that prior to printing, all of us are viewing the image back lit and so colors may appear different, brighter, more rich and vibrant on screen as opposed to ink on paper. Dependent upon the color you choose for the print, the paper stock and finish used (coated, non-coated, glossy, matte, et al. finishes) effects the color and varies greatly.

What one viewer will see on their computer monitor will be vastly different from what another viewer will see on their monitor. Calibration of monitors, pixels/screen resolution and color profile interpretation all effect what you see.

If the print company allows you to see a proof print of a swatch of the overall design/layout to be printed prior to printing the full run, you might inquire about that step in the print process. You might only need to choose a finish of the paper that you like best instead of opting between alternative colors of the background. Also ask your chosen printer to send you paper samples before they do any printing so you can get a feel for the quality of paper stock available.

I really do like the blue... something about the blue and orange colors together... or maybe that's just because I spent a few years in college cheering for the Fighting Illini ;)

I do plan to put my info at the bottom and will credit the photographer as well. Thanks.

I ordered a sample pack from one printing company. The samples with the gloss coating seemed to look best to me. I'll have to ask about whether or not a proof in advance is possible. And since you pointed out that things may look different on computer than printed, I'll ask the printers if they have a recommened color or samples they can provide me where I can then match up with the colors on photoshop. Thanks for the tips. :thumb:

Blue and orange are complementary colors. Complementary colors are very often chosen for athletic uniforms.
