When the new 100s come out, I was thinking about grabbing a few or a strap. Since they are likely going to be in new packs, should I be on the look out for any specific runs of serial numbers? Or am I better off just keeping my old 100s hoping that there's something in there? What could you paper money guys offer in the way of advice?
I think it would be a good idea to pick up a strap or two, To see what you Could find not sure on specific serial numbers though, Not sure if that information Is even out yet!
ok, isn't a strap of $100s = $5000? I can't purchase more than 1, and I will only do it to see if I can find specific serial numbers. That's the kind of advice I am looking for. What runs of serial numbers have the most desirable numbers contained within?
Let the teller know at the bank you want them and ask for a pack of stars too Those should be very nice.
Mike, When you get your $100 strap, please post a pic. I'd love to see a new $100 strap. Down the road you can follow the US Paper Money Info web site for printage data...
FYI, the new 100 bill is not coming out till February 2011..page 3 (top left corner) in the new coinworld magazine..I too want one for collection. One of those 'just to have cause I want it' types
a full strap from the BEP is 100 bills or $10,000. i would just grab as many as you can afford. but you do have a quite a while before they are even released.
thank you darryl! that's more what I was looking for. I also appreciate everyone else's help, I wouldn't have known it would be so long before they are released. and Darryl: If you come this way and you don'tlet me know I will definitely be upset!
Hi Mike, solid s/n 7 of 8 S/N less than 1000 printing error Anything other than that, send them str8 back to the bank! Good to see you post! Hope you and the family are well! May be in your neck of the woods soon, will let you know. Best Regards ~ Darryl
100's come in mustard colored straps containing 100 notes ($10000). If you withdraw this amount of money your bank will file a CTR. You'll get a CTR done on you if you deposit it back.
solid advice, fifty! Something I never considered. (mostly because I don't have anywhere near $10 grand in the bank)
