    Ch BU walker

Picked this up from my local coin shop yesterday,as an upgrade from the AU-50
    one i already had.
To my eye it looks like a very possible MS-63,paid MS-60 price for it.Also got two more rolls of Kansas quarters from the bank, all in all a good coin day.

Very nice,is that toned golden or is that the lighting?

It has a bit of gold toning but most of that is from the incandescent lights..I need to get some that show silver in it's true color..any suggestions?

I use a scanner for my coins and it never captures the luster but does show detail.

I use that type but my camera takes that light as a pinky light so all of my coins look a light pink.....I have to fix that on the photos then.....I think I should look for a new camera.

Speedy...check your camera to see if you have a "hue adjustment" or white balance setting that will correct the pinkish tone..sounds like a ++ hue problem to me.

Let me know if I can help ya...

I do have that setting and have changed it but it doesn't change much....it was a cheap camera and I've used it for some time.....
Another thing is that it doesn't let you change the hue much so either way it still has a pinky look....oh well....I'll fix that someday ;)

For color correction under flourscent lighting (which has a green tint) we use a pink filter w/o flash. So one would think that the inverse of green/pink would correct the pink hue..you can shoot through a celophane sheet of light green to attempt to adjust. You can find it at local party stores and/or craft stores cheapo!

Try it..ya just might stumble on something..

    OK guys,
I decided to actually read the camera manual, found the section on color balance and incandescent light. As a male,I usually don't read these things but heck,I learned something today gosh darn it.And if that fails,we sell the GE Reveal bulbs where I work.
    Thanks RickieB,Cave_Troll et al...

Oh boy!...I bet that will work!
I'll be sure to try it when I find some green celophane...my Mom says that she saw some just the other day ;)

You better post some photos ;) :)

    Speddy...
Keep in mind that you mentioned that the pink hue was very light..so try to find some celophane that is very light green or you will induce a green tint tothe picture...if you have a uv filter that may help as well...

    Let me know...
