Dan, how many of each coin are you in for (if I may ask you)? I have 20 of each. It would seem our fates (in this cautionary tale) are rather intertwined (haven't seen any other posters who have picked up more than a few of the coins). Hope we at least get our initial 'nut' out of all this. but I am not very optimistic. I guess we'll see what happens as they say...

Naw. I misspoke in my last post and confused you. I don't plan on selling any of mine (and I lack the shrewd, business acumen which I presume is required to profitably 'flip' coins, as they say). I have stuck my cache of these coins at the back of my bedroom closet and plan to leave them there in perpetuity. Maybe when I grow old and feeble, I will will them to my three year old niece if I succeed in turning her into a collector (I'm already working on her with coins as birthday and Xmas coins-one coin for each toy she gets from me), I will leave them to her. When I speak of getting my 'nut' back, what I am really saying is that I want the value on paper (greysheet, etc.) of these coins to be about what I paid one, five, ten plus years down the road.
