Each day I do the cash from the day before and I've been pretty lucky over the last year with the results. Quite a few error notes and lots of collectible coins. This morning was no exception. Since I'm the only collector at work the good stuff stays in the till. Like this baby:

It's not a high value one but it is my first.

Nice! I make the deposits every night for my work, so I get to go through the change and whatnot... never find much of anything good. :(

I suppose that's an even more peculiar find for you since you live in Canada, eh?

It's surprising how much U.S. money we get up here. I have almost a complete collection of the States commemorative quarters, I think I'm missing maybe six or seven and all were pulled from the till. I've even gotten wheats dating back to 1913 and a few silver dimes and quarters. It's just a little bonus that makes the job that much more enjoyable.

It's neat when you find something like that in random change.

Great till find. You work there long enough you'd be suprised how much those add up.
I would save star notes in high grades but eventually my paycheck would not keep up with it :D

Congrats on the find. I dont care how beat up a coin is when I find it in change from the store or something like that. I still get a thrill out of it no matter how many times it happens to me. Something about finding a coin that is 50 to 100 years old in circulation gets the blood flowing:D
