I trying to find out some info on this 1889 morgan pendant. It weighs 36.2 grams. It is 2.0 inches in diameter. What I like to know is, has anyone seen a pendant with this stering silver wiring like this? I've tried everything I know and came up with nothing except it may not be very expensive Say about $30. The morgan should weigh 26.73 grams so that leaves 9.47 grams of Sterling silver which is what, approx. 97% pure silver. Who made it? How old might it be? What would you say it might be worth? Thanks. zeke
Sterling is 92.5%, isn't it? Maybe this place can give you some answers. http://www.differencecoin.com/catalog/countries/united_states.html Chris
i got an ike dollar that was on a similar pendant. interesting, i didn't think anything of it. my 1899 $10 liberty eagle was on a pendant also.
Yep, you are correct. 92.5% pure. I was in a hurry and took a stab at it. Thanks for the link CPM9BALL but I couldn't find anything helpful.
