I stopped using ebay recently because I got hosed on some high end coins:desk: was wondering if anybody has used this company and if so how did they do for you? They have like 30 pages in the last coinworld i received so I am hoping somebody knows something about them.
    thanks

If you pay via PayPal and follow all of PayPal, USPS and ebay rules then it can be tough to get hosed on coins purchased off of ebay. Unless, of course, you are writing about raw coins and you purchased problem pieces without knowing it at the time. I have never dealt with L&C Coins, but I would imagine that buying that much advertising space in Coin World has to be paid for by someone.

Holy Smokes! Do you have details of the coin and ceritification number? Do you have images of the slab? This would be helpful to all of us.

Hello everyone. I'm an old eBayer and I think that if the bad slabbed coin the OP is talking about is not too old, he should pursue a refund with both eBay and PayPal since there is the Buyer Protection Plan. Even after 45 days and even if the seller is long gone, the Buyer Protection Plan may work especially if you are persistent.

Also, I would be interested in pics and details of the fake slab.

he sells off of ebay and I think (dont quote me) he will send you junk mail afterwards....just like many others that do if you buy from them.. I've looked at his site and some prices seem really high.

I bought some slabbed moderns from them a while back. Never had a problem with their service. Even got one slab from PCGS MS69 with spots. They gladly replaced it.

Well I dont have the holder because they said it had to be confiscated. I do have the coin (which is also fake) I can get a picture of that for you. Never thought to run the cert number before buying it because I didnt realize they were faking the holders at the time but even if I would have it is the same year and grade of a real dime thats been certified. PCGS said its the first mercury they seen faked. it was a 1921D MS 64 so it really stung. I have tried to get my money back but they said I have 45 days and they cannot help me. I bought this one over a year ago and thought I would send it in to get the PLUS since everybody says the OGH's are prime for upgrades. Thats the second time I got the bad end from ebay but the first time was for some rims.I got one rim a week.I was told I would be better off reselling them. I have started to find some cool sites though.thanks for the info on the LC guys.

I am sorry to hear that you got ripped off. Please post ebay ID of the bum so that other folks can see if they also bought from this scum in the past.

I have only used L&C for a couple of modern coins - never had a problem. Some of their other coins do seem a bit steep. I have also had good luck NFC Coins and a couple others. You can find most of them listed on this site.

I have not done business with L & C Coins but I have heard good things about them. Aren't they the guys who put on the CoinChat radio show? just a thought
