Observations after returning to coin collecting.

    That sums up a lot of collectors. However, some of have very active social lifes and do it to get away from other people. To me, it's sort of Spartan in some ways. Looking at coins on cold winter nights after everybody else has gone to bed. Other times it provides something to do on a rainy Saturday morning to visit the coin shop and browse around.

    I think I fit into the oldies in this forum. I started collecting pennies at 10 years old. Lost interest from 20-40 most because of keeping my head above water with bills. Started collecting seriously again when I was over 40; losing my ex-wife helped in this regard. More money I guess.
