These are a few pics of an Ike that I picked up at an antique fair today. It was 10 bucks so I said, "Why not?" these do the coin no real justice as far as showing all the colors but is so difficult to capture them.
The Brown Pack Ikes can tone nicely and if I recall correctly the 1974-S issue has the most dramatic toning, on average.
Nice Ikes guys! Here's one of mine. Very frostly pale blue hue beginning, just inside the devices of the obverse and a bit more overall/subtle on the reverse. Sorry the images are poorly shot, through the plastic of the original Mint holder (brown box) and the focus is rather soft at that. Day light, no special set up. I love this one for the pale almost powdery blue tone. Again, apologies for the sloppy pics. 1974-S Silver Ike with frosty pale blue tone:
You guys can call me crazy, but I think the toning on this proof IKE makes the fields look like space which is ultra cool considering the design.
