    Round 4...

    Here they are !

I'll only rank those who played in the last round.

Dropped scores this week. No one yet.
Dropped score after every 16th :hail:
Gotta have at least 10 graded to rank.

    New scoring system as noted...
Rankings (points reflect average grades off tpg grades):
GOLD - Raider - .75 > owned the first two rounds
SILVER - Duke - .83 > establishing his normal spot in the rankings early
BRONZE - Lehigh - .92 > In the top three early
    and now the Pack:
    4th - Rlm's - 1.08 > low copper content in this one,, sorry ; )
    5th - BadThad / Bigjpst / Leadfoot - 1.33

A few more will rank after this round.... have fun.

    TPG's this round:
    ANACS - 1934
    ANACS - 1855
    ANACS - 1840O
    PCGS - 1921

No problem on the rankings - not much time to play here lately. Also I just wanted to remind treashunt that you want what ANAC's graded them not the real grade. Sorry I could not resist. :)

    Round 4 recap:

    First,, Welcome Mark_H... have fun.

    Tough round.
    Our first zinger......

    ANACS grades:
1934 - G6 > DD, only Raider called out the DD (sorry no bonus). It does have two interesting characteristics that are not called out by the Tpg. 1st - the light scratch on the obverse. 2nd - a somewhat cleaned looking reverse. Note the lighter appearance of the reverse compared to the obverse,, to me, that looks like an old cleaning and then storage which allowed the obverse to retone faster than the reverse. Compare this coin to the zinger.
1855 - VF30 - Repunched date, no one called it out, look at the last 5 of the date and you can see it.
1840O w/drapery- BB cleaned VF30 details - (zinger) - no one noted the drapery, which is a neat feature of this coin and date,,, and no one called out the BB-cleaning (5pts + grade miss). The obverse looks very naturally toned to me, the reverse does look cleaned to me.. probably an old cleaning and then stored in a manner that allowed the obverse to retone nicely. Intentionally timed this one to mate up our 1st round of dropped scores, so limited damage to those who earned thier first drop,,, and will also fall off those of you who will earn you first drop in round 5.
    PCGS grades:
    1921 - AU58... a usual (58,60,61,62) mini-zinger..... AU58 is a very tough call.

Observations: DD's, repunched mint marks, borderline MS coins, Cleaned coins. Fun round !

Awards for this set of cents:
    Best - Swish - 2.0
    HA - Raider - 3.0 ;)
    Others:
    Leadfoot - 2.75
    Mark_H - 2.75
    Lehigh - 2.50
    RLM's - 2.75
    BadThad - 2.75
    BQcoins - 2.50
    bigjpst - 2.25
    Duke - 2.75

I'll update the ranking in round 5 now............
