Guess the grade. Guess the VAM if you want. I haven't done one of these in awhile as I am experimenting with a Sony a700 camera with a 100mm macro Minolta lens. I don't know anything about photography but am learning and getting better. I think. Also got married last month so I have had very little time this past year to do much by way of coins. Anyways, based on my learning and experiments with a DSLR camera, I have so far concluded.... I think I hate photography. But I will get better because... well I have to at this point. And also my point and shoot camera is now scrap. Good luck.
sorry Evan8, I'm usually gentle/generous with grading... but... I don't see chatter, I see scribbles and the number 24 above the eagles head... AU details: graffiti Vam 1f? crumpled field under right stars?
Too bad this beautiful coin was not well taken care of. If there were no chatter marks this coin would go an easy MS 65. Due to improper protection, it is now a MS 62 or less. Sorry Evan, but you made a good deal on your marriage, Congratulations. Dave
Answer time! PCGS pop: 3 in 58+ @mrweaseluv got the VAM correct. It is 1F. Crumbled field below right stars. Also this VAM apparently has a Cud outside the denticles that runs around 70% of the rim. Between the grade and VAM, it seemed like a pretty neat coin.
