We really need more World Paper Money Collectors on Cointalk Hopefully between those of us who do collect, and post images... possibly others will also decide its a fun thing to do? Malaya -Added several Japanese Occupational currency notes - P-M6c, P-M7b and P-M8x Moldova - P-8 Serbia - P-23, P-25 and P-47a Slovenia - P-13a Tanzania - P-25b Yemen - P-24 Thanks to everyone for taking a look :thumb:
Daggarjon, I have been looking at foreign notes lately, and I see a lot of Polymer notes. Do you own any. What are the advantages of Polymer, do they last longer, are they harder to counterfeit? I am curious.
The king on the Moldova is, well...very king like. I like it. Also like the Tanzania 200 Leopards as well as Slovenia 50 (cause I'm a nerd and like math stuff) alot. Thanks for posting.
Now that my dimes are started to fade (though I have an open offer in the Open forum), I'll post some more world notes of mine. I just got a new one from a generous member of cointalk!!! Pictures soon.
I do own a few Polymer notes, mostly from Mexico. But you nailed the reasons for using Polymer!!! Yes, they do last alot longer, as they do not wear anything like the paper currency. As for security features ... i do think they are supposd to be more secure, but i do not know alot about them beacuse the US doeas not use them ... yet. I need to look in the open forum!!! i keep forgetting the 'NEW POSTS' link does not show those posts thanks for looking!!!
Polymer the new paper I believe it was said that 9 nations in 2009 completely changed their countries banknotes to purely polymer one. I personally like polymer banknotes but they are really different looking and feeling compared to "old school" paper ones. This banknote happens to be one of my favorite polymer notes in my collection. 1 Antarctican Dollar
Just wondering, Are those image shack pics? Iam not familiar with Them but at photobucket.com you can get large images like this!
No actually i had used those images on my website earlier, but i normally use my desktop to work with my images. Those just happened to be the only images of polymer banknotes on my laptop. On imageshack you can do pretty much everything you can on photobucket
