I have a complete set of Sacagawea's and Native American Proof dollars and am in the process of upgrading them all to a PF-69 PCGS set. Just wondering if anyone knows what the full set (just up to 2010) would be worth just to gauge how I do acquiring them one at a time.
The set would be worth exactly what someone was willing to pay for it. If you're lookin' to score a quick "turn around" on this set forget it. It's going to take years for a set like this to realize any kind of value. If, however, you are collecting these for your own fun and amusement (that's me ) the set is priceless......
I am collecting for fun. I don't expect to ever get rich from my coin hobby. I was just curious, because I am not buying it as a whole set, i am acquiring them one at a time and just wanted to gauge how much I am spending to see how well I do.
I would do a little research on teletrade's website and heritage auction's website to see what others have paid for these recently. Here are the links to these auctions. Heritage Teletrade Just join, it is free and then go to the prices realized in recent auctions. Hope this helps.
I understand where you are coming from. It's more fun collecting one at a time instead of a set. Last year I decided to catch up on the set, P, D, S all uncirculated or proof. Since these are common coins, I bought most of mine off Ebay fairly cheap. P and D at 1.50-2 each and the S for close to 4.50/5 depending on the year. 2001 S will cost you, just be warned. Hope this helps. Sorry, just read your original post. Didn't realize you wanted them professionally graded. I will retract the 4/5 dollar range.
