So did you list anything Pilkenton? One Morgan dollar, is that really all you're gonna list? Maybe a minimum of 5 or 6 coins should be posted as buyers want to see your other items as well. At least that's been my experience. Any more info on ebay, as I'm a new seller and I really don't know much.
Easy as pie. Just put it on ebay. A worn out 1889-O Morgan. It was pretty easy. Thanks for all your help. Wish me luck.
For your first time selling you seem to have gotten it up pretty quickly (unlike me). How long did it take you?
It took less than 15 minutes. I was already a registered buyer. I watched a couple youtube tutorials. They were impossible to understand. I just followed the ebay directions.
Ummm it's like $0.30 to list an item on eBay so unless you are planning to sell thousands of items eBay is the better choice.
Uhm.. Your guys should check this out...is this even allowed? there are a ton of themhttp://cgi.ebay.com/Fast-100-Feedback-Cool-Dragon-Art-5-Great-Method-/220577076489?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item335b6b1509#ht_875wt_1136
Five bids on the Morgan in less than an hour. Went from .99 to 12.43. That's more than I paid for it. I'm gonna be a millionaire.
Well its alot of work to sell one coin, If thats the case just try and Sell it here in CT!! in there selling forum!!
Nah, if I can do it, anyone certainly can. They just changed the "insertion fees" a bit. You can put an item up for a 7 day auction with a starting price of $0.99 or less for free. Fees are charged on the sale. It is pretty self explanatory to list an item, but figuring out the shipping options was problematic for me. I didn't understand fully the rates and the options and lost a few bucks learning. LOL Paypal charges $0.30 per transaction + a % of the total (including the shipping fees). You save 14% by printing you own postage using USPS on line.
One more question. My ebay auctions are for three days. I'm not selling anything too expensive. What is the desired length you want your auction to last?
People usually don't start the heavy biddin until it's close to closing time. However, a seven day isn't bad to go with if you're not in a hurry to sale. Gives extra days for people to view and add items to their watch list.
I sell my used books with a 7 day. Sometimes they need to be re-listed to give people more time to see it. But, in the automotive section there are 1000's of items under each listing. No one generally will see them until they are at the head of the list (near expiration), so I list them for 3 or 5 days.
