Hello my CoinTalk friends! it's been a while since I've posted anything, but thought I'd throw this out there for your comments. I was going through some of my coins folders the other day and came across this mangled up dime. Not sure when I got it or where, but must have been curious enough to set it aside. Anywho, before I throw it in my change jar, ( I save my change till it builds up, then give it to the Casino Gods I'd like to know if this is all PMD. To me it looks like there is possible lamination, clip, strike thru etc. So, put in the Casino Jar, or keep it in my error coin folder? Thanks again for any comments
looks like some change that fell in someone's garbage disposal and was turned on ... yes ... really. PMD
This is a severely beat up dime. Take it to the bank and they will give you a replacement for it because you couldn't use it in a parking meter or vending machine. I doubt a coinstar would even accept it. I take these and toss them in the giant sandbox at the city park for the old guy who metal detects at 0500 hours every other morning. Adds excitement to his hobby when the tone sounds off that he's found something.
I asked my wife about this Dime. She knows nothing to very little about coins and couldn’t care less about my coins, even the high priced ones. Her comment was “It looks pretty beat up”.
