    Hi all,

I got this quarter in a roll today and it's very dark and looks to be missing a layer. It's much darker compared to the other quarter.

Any ideas on what this is? Thanks in advance!

If it were missing the clad layer on both sides, it would be very, very thin. What does it weigh? It looks more like it was affected by some kind of environmental or chemical exposure.

It weighs 5.7 g. So it's just something that discolored it. I see what your'e saying there. Yes, it's not a copper color that's for sure, just dull and darker.

    Thank you for the information!
