A coin almost exactly like this one was recently ID'd by Sylvester as a type of souvenir token sold at some kind of viking museum I think in York,England.The photo of that coin,although a slightly different design,had the same Viking hammer and probably more important,exactly the same rust pattern. re ID my coin Hi, Ive had it checked by a coin dealer, and it is genuine silver(it still had mud on it, no rust, thats just how it scanned). The dealer says as far as he can see it is the real macoy, and he has forwarded better photos to a viking coin specialist. We await an ID. cheers Das
Well das, I'm certainly no expert on Viking coins and I suspect thet IF SYLVESTER EVER COMES BACK from whatever hiatus he is on,he could positively identify your coin.And that goes for IAN AS WELL..where are you guys? I suspect alien abduction in the U.K. is resposible.
