I have a Coin that seems to be Russian.

    Description:

    brass color coin

Side1: man's face looking to the left
    he has a hat on
    he has a pony tail

    Side 2:
2 rifles in an X pattern
    1976
the number 2 at the bottom

can anybody help find out about this coin? I cannot find a picture of it anywhere.

    Hi Ron -

I'm doing a little bit of searches...

Friendly FYI... here is an image of a 2 Kopek Soviet coin. Obviously, per your description, this doesn't match...

    Still checking a few sources...

That said, if all else, hopefully Siberian Man will be able to help... but usually he's on a bit later though.

Any chance you can post a photograph of each side?

By searching the internet for recently concluded auctions, although probably EBay would be the only place your very common, low value coin has been auctioned. For what it's worth, the not always reliable Standard Catalog of World Coins, 2008 35th Edition, listed it at 25¢ Extra Fine, $1 Uncirculated, and $2 Brilliant Uncirculated.

    ok and thanks.

it looks like it is worth about .25 to .50 cents.
