Why are there old 2 inch replicas? i can't find the answer. Or a Direction for that matter. NEEEEEEEEEEEED HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP. PLEEEEEEEEEEASE.
I'm not sure I understand the point of your question. They make replicas for people that cannot afford the real thing and others who just think it would neat to have one.
I don't think I've seen 2 inch replicas. Three inch, 5 inch, 6 inch, yes. I'd be very interested as I collect replicas other than the ones that used to be advertised on the back of CW.
well the one i found is about 2 inches in dia. and its old. but it seems fake to me. like you can notice it up front. so i guess i'm looking for more a direction to find out how to find where it came from or who made it? if possible.
Finding out who made it would be all but impossible I would think. But there might be somebody out there who specializes in private mint issues who would know. But what do you mean it looks fake ? All replicas are fakes. It is probably just a very cheaply made replica. Not all of them are of the same quality.
I find it rather odd that people would spend time and money collecting replicas. Isn't there anything else to do?
HA! My 84 year old mother says "At least you are not blowing your money on golf and have nothing to show for it". One of her friend's husband plays golf. Every dollar the man spends on golf the wife keeps track of. Then she spends an exact equal amount of money on fabric, quilting and sewing supplies. Now I have just wasted 10 minutes in the replica department. Not my cup of tea... I'd rather play gold!
