Thanks for sharing. But all besides the Star Serial numbers aren't any kind of true Fancy Serial Numbers.

Those are the types of numbers people try to sell on eBay to foolish buyers :bucktooth:

    Just spenders

Definitely. Nothing really special about it.

If you would buy it, keep it. If you wouldn't buy it but someone else will, sell it. In either case do not put trust in a web page that gets revenue by hyping you into using it.

    What are you referring to?

Any of the websites that tell you your note is "Cool". Don't bank on them being worth anything over face value until you get a hard offer. There are tons being advertised for sale now in different venues where they state the value is based on "The coolness index" which is a novelty at best.

No extra value on most of those, but if you like them keep them!

What website or references should I use that is legitimate? Are there actually any serial numbers that do exist that I should be looking for? A lot of the things I find may not have any added value but I like them so I keep them.

You say "most of those"...which ones stand out from the others?

I’d keep the $20 and spend the rest. The serial numbers on each bill are nice and unusual but nothing fancy about them. A note collector would not be interested in them.

I wouldn't use a website to determine worth unless it is an auction site. If you are keeping them because you like them, there is not a better reason, keep them. But, if you would like to lessen the expense of your hobby, you can do better by exchanging the less desirable bills for one that will increase in desirability the older it gets. Maybe your bill will do just that but the history of the hobby shows differently.

I don't search out fancy numbered bills myself, I do keep those that I find in change and/or searching through straps that I know there are collectors of. I would literally have thousands of "Almost Serial Number notes", "Over inking" errors, and "Stuck digit/Gas pump" errors. I find several of each in every $100 pack of notes I search. They are actually more common than star notes. If I pull a note out to share or show off, it would never be one that I had to explain to the viewer why it's cool, I would hope they would see it themselves.
