Does anyone know of any good paper money message boards or websites? I want to get back into collecting paper money again but had a few questions.

    Thanks

I don't know of any. There are a few people here with knowledge of the topic, so go ahead and ask. There is a paper money usenet group I know about, but I don't know if it's active or not. If your ISP provides usenet, you could try there, or this site lists the collecting paper money forum, or at Google Groups.

Hmmm... maybe a paper money section on CoinTalk would not be inappropriate??

I'd like it. The first money I ever bought, actually, was a couple pre-Revolutionary Russian ruble bills.

    Pete,

There is a coin forum, and an error coin forum. Why not a paper money forum and an error paper money forum?

I think I'll propose this feature to the XenForo folks: when a user tries to post to a thread, add a delay that's proportional to the time since the last post. For a 17-year-old thread, I think 17 minutes would be appropriate. 17 hours would be a bit over the top. Maybe they could even make it play Rick Astley as hold music while you wait.

Or, barring that, maybe a pop-up warning saying "you're replying to a post that's X years old; are you sure you want to do that?"

For bonus points, don't let the user post until they've at least scrolled to the last post in the thread, even if they haven't read them all. (That feature would've saved me some embarrassment in the past!)
