    Thanks in advance!

Hello. It is a 50 dirham coin from Libya, date 1395/1975 -- sorry I don't know more!

edit: The side with the Eagle says : Arab Republic of Libya. It has the western (1975 A.D.) and Hijra dates (1395 AH) both written in Arabic.

The other side says 50 dirhams. Hope that helps

I love the coin -- it reminds me of one I used to have when I was about 10. I didn't know where it was from for the longest time (had no book, I guess) but I used to stare at the big zero-looking thing on the back and be mesmerized.

I think I eventually worked out that it was from the Sudan, but I might be remembering it wrong. At least, at the time I thought it was from the Sudan! Alas, I have it no more and don't remember where I got it anyway.

    Thanks for the pics!
