I was going through another bag of junk silver that I purchased 6 years ago and just opened yesterday. Lots of Walking Liberty Halves and Mercury Dimes, not to mention a good number of early date Washington Quarters.

This is one of the coins that was in the bag and I certainly didn’t expect to see this. Not in bad shape either. Dated 1893 so not in bad shape at all.

Nope nope certainly NOT junk... Then again not a hard coin to come by in better grades as it seems most of em got put away rather then circulated :D

I’ve always thought the same thing. That’s why I was surprised to see this coin, even in a poor but decent condition in a bag of $100.00 face value of junk silver. I have a really nice one but I’ll take this one as well.

I have purchased about 20 and presented to the out going Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. I have done this for many years.

Yeah, it's a fun find. Surface finish is a little scrubbed off. We take them as we find them.
