I just Won these off ebay. Nothing real valuable, but I need them for my collection.
Is there anyway I should send them for a chance of Upgrade? Any Vams!
The photos provided are the Sellers, not mine! I can post photos when they arrive.

Nice Morgans, Stop Motion. It is always fun to get "rattlers."

Rattles.....because the coin will rattle or turn in the slab sometimes...the slab is lose and the coin will "rattle" in it....I've never heard of a case when the coin was hurt by the rattle but most people send them in for a new holder.

    Thanks Speedy!

Some guys on another board where telling me that I should save the money on reholdering and possible upgrade. Not enough gain in value.

I agree--I have a Buff nickel from 1935 that is graded MS63....I think it would go MS64 but the value isn't worth it...

For some odd reason I bought a Morgan dollar today....I don't collect them much..in fact I only have 4 in my collection total...just because they don't jump out at me like others....
Here is the one I got today....anyone want to guess the grade??

Looks like PCGS to me - I'll say they graded it 64. But for an '81-S - it should be 63 ;)

GDJMSP...you hit it on the head again!

    PCGS put MS64----

Is that because there are soooo many high grade 81-s Morgans---and because that date is know for a strong strike??
It doesn't make much matter to me...it will either be traded or kept as part of that set I want to do someday of one high grade piece from each set....half cent/cent/2cent/3cent/half dime/nickel/dime/20cent/quarter/half/dollar....kindof like a type set....don't know if that will ever be done--I'm so slow and picky!

Stop motion...I wish the REV was PL...then it would have gotten that but it wasn't....

I guess the one reason I got it was because I have always like PL Morgans and always wanted one...this was a cheaper nice coin with PL on one side....

Yes it is. It's purely my opinion of course, but to me that coin has a few too many marks and breaks in the luster to warrant a 64 for that date and mint. If that was an '81-CC - no problem at all with it making a 64.

And that is one reason why I almost didn't buy it....I looked at the date and I thought that it shouldn't be much problem to find a coin in higher grade with that date.....but I just couldn't help myself.....that PL ovb was just toooo pretty!

That's what it's all about - when ya see a coin that rings your bell, kinda hard to turn it down :D
