What do you think close am 46 dime

    As far as I know, there are no close AM, wide AM dime varieties. Can you share where you got this information?

    The close AM, wide AM cents are specifically due to the mint mixing up proof and business strike reverses in 1992 and 98-00. This would have nothing to do with dimes that were minted 50+ years prior.

    Melt value for a silver dime is $1.50, not $3.

    I'm just saying if that was a die break that's a pretty clean one, and I don't see very many coins if at any with the same thing going on. I was just curious thanks

    No. You said melt value was a few bucks...i.e. $3 or more.
