PCGS Blue holder is now the OBH??

Just saw this on ebay - since when is the blue PCGS holder rare and old?! I know about the OGH but that was the 80's and 90's, and this is the early 2000's!!! Am I getting old...

It looks like a Gen 4.1 or 4.2 (can't tell from the color, need to see the reverse) from 2002-05. Certainly not as rare or valuable as an OGH.

Only thing I can think of is that if it pre-dates 2004 (the start of market grading according to some vets here), then maybe it just got in under the looser grading standards.

 

The price is really strong, even with the toning.

 

Yeah no wonder there's 0 bids, they're just trying to hype up the coin as much as possible

 

Since the seller put his/her's up for sale. As it is often said, buy the the coin not the holder.

 

You can actually track the holder and the grading, so you know what your getting...LOL

Some of them blue holders are getting old. YOU KNEW IT WAS COMING!

 

We are all getting old. Why expect anything different from holders.

 

They're already calling CAC sticker service CAC 1.0 and CAC grading 2.0...
But I'm all in for some first generation holders!
