That's a great note!! It always looks like a bugs bunny cartoon to me though. I'd love to have that one though. I'm sure it graded low but looks great!! Congrates
Thanks...It's raw and was advertised as a VF + (I should re-scan it,that's his scan actually looks much brighter). Here it is re-scaned on my scanner much less yellow)
Thanks Rusty ,even if your want to pay $1200 for a NY (EF) they seem harder to find,is someone hoarding them ? Bugs Bunny ? LOL
It's probably subconsciously thought about form the variety of the Franklin "Bug". And I"m not hoarding them!! I promise.
Krispy...thanks your from Brooklyn,NY I see, like me. I'm try to stay with new york (B) for now. Also picked this up because it was a (B) I have a better Cleveland but I picked it up anyway.
I too keep my eyes peeled for great NY notes when I can find them. I'm not collecting large sizes yet, and since Rick has been the NY guy in the District collectors group, I went with St Louis for my small size collection as I have a personal connection to that city as well. I'm sure our resident Cleveland district collector would love to see your other note if you want to post it.
Here it is: Krispy this is a Jpeg image picture & when I find the Back I'll Upload it to photobucket. Found it.(Jpeg Photo)
Yes,you can't touch that Rick has the best NY District collection I've seen. I think hell have the PMG Registry Set in August along with the rest of his gorgeous collections, can't wait to see them !
Hello friends... Connor1.. That is a really nice $100 NY Note.. Congrats on adding it to your ever growing collection..just a really cool example.:high5: :high5: I hope just because I collect NY notes that this does not stop you all from doing the same..by all means continue your collections of whatever District you choose. I have Notes from many Districts, however, the concentartion is on NY notes. And thank you for the compliments on the collection..I am sure many of you are now finding out just how difficult and expensive it is to try to assemble a high quality collection. Best regards, RickieB
Hi Rick! Glad to see you chiming in! I have to say that I found an exceptional drive and fondness for the challenge of collecting my choosen district since taking this idea on. While I have focused on small sized notes, I am watching, learning and can't wait until I can work on the large sized notes, as my budget allows. It is just amazing how quickly the value/expense of a single district collection multiplies with each addition.
Krispy... Thank you..I am feeling better today, better than the past few weeks. Indeed your observation is correct...I have recently gone thru and valued my collection...all I can say is wow..it does add up in a hurry. Just wait until you start adding Large Size Notes at $5K a pop..that gets really fun..:smile BTW.. vey nice additions to your District Collection!! Keep up the good work. RickieB
Here is a link to a PhotoBucket Slide Show... no music ..as I am just organizing it.. if you want to take a peek, please do. RickieB http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/... Size Notes/?action=view¤t=46680c51.pbw
