Yes, I was thinking that it was one of these. My father had a couple of these old 1946 Chevy trucks when I was a kid. They were the larger models, not pick-ups. The starter was a pedal on the floor, and the windshield opened up at the bottom for more ventilation. It had a hand crack in case the electric starter didn't work. You had to be careful of those. My grandfather, whom I never met, had his arm broken when the engine kicked back. His arm was never the same. He probably bought them right after World War II in the civilian vehicle market opened up again. I think that the 1940 models also looked like this. I built this model a few years ago as a reminder of those days back in the 1950s. The actual truck I posted earlier was name "Henry" in honor of a past owner.
