    Can someone tell me what I have. DDO on the date? WIN_20221014_17_04_40_Pro.jpg WIN_20221014_17_04_52_Pro.jpg WIN_20221009_15_06_54_Pro.jpg WIN_20221009_15_07_00_Pro.jpg someone check this coin and tell me what I have. I see a doubling going on.

    It appears to be DDD Die deterioration doubling. Continued use of a die beyond its normal life. Jim

    Is this a poormans doubling? MD shelf like.. I know the mint also looks like its effected that indicates it might be a md.

    Somethings to help you along your journey:
    • Correct...this is MD so it's 'worthless doubling' (go to Doubleddies.com to learn more)
    • When you see that the MM has the same doubling, it almost always means it's worthless doubling
    • On years of known doubling, you need to examine it carefully as MD can mask true doubling.
    Here's an example of MD on a DDO date.

    I am finding these often in my change. They look wierd but as they get more worn down I notice the ghost doubling goes away.
